A Heartfelt Lake Thun Wedding at Schloss Oberhofen – Nestor & Cynthia’s Swiss Love Story
It all began with a quiet moment on the Iseltwald Pier, where Nestor asked Cynthia to marry him. With the still waters of Lake Brienz and the Alps beyond, it was the perfect beginning to their Swiss story.
A few years later, they returned to Switzerland — this time to celebrate their wedding with twenty of their closest family and friends. They stayed along the shores of Lake Thun, where the day unfolded in calm and joyful rhythm: soft morning light, hair and makeup preparations, and the tender anticipation before the bride and groom saw each other for the first time.
Their guests soon joined us for a scenic wedding cruise across Lake Thun, gliding toward the couple’s favorite castle, the romantic Schloss Oberhofen. In the gardens overlooking the lake, Nestor and Cynthia exchanged vows in a symbolic ceremony that was simple, heartfelt, and deeply personal. Afterward, an intimate aperitif followed — laughter, music, and lake breezes blending effortlessly.
Choosing to forgo a formal reception, they embraced the peacefulness of the moment instead. As evening settled over the Alps, they shared a quiet dinner together — a fitting close to a day that needed no embellishment. The following days were spent exploring the Jungfrau region with loved ones, continuing their adventure among Switzerland’s most breathtaking landscapes.
